A Religious Science Practitioner is one who is trained extensively in the use of Science of Mind principles and Spiritual Mind Treatment (Affirmative Prayer), and who is licensed by the United Centers for Spiritual Living to serve as a professional in the field of spiritual guidance. Practitioners are trained to assist individuals in improving their life experiences and conditions. A Religious Science practitioner has had a minimum of 300 hours of classwork, and has passed both a national written examination and an oral panel.
How Can a Practitioner Help Me?
A practitioner guides you in taking charge of your life through effective thinking and spiritual understanding. Providing a supportive atmosphere, the practitioner assists you in exploring your own power and potential. Your practitioner does spiritual mind treatment to open avenues of healing.
Does a Practitioner Do Counseling?
No, a practitioner is a prayer partner with whom you explore and apply Spiritual Principle. A practitioner is NOT a psychological counselor or advice-giver. Practitioners work with the principles of Science of Mind and Spirit and use Spiritual Mind Treatment.
What is Spiritual Mind Treatment?
Spiritual Mind Treatment is a scientific prayer technique based on the idea that Universal Mind responds to your belief. Ernest Holmes, the founder of Religious Science, said, "There is a Power for good in the universe greater than you are, and you can use it." Your practitioner can teach you how to use this technique to enrich your life.
Practitioners work on an individual fee basis and invite you to call on them for private consultation and spiritual mind treatment. A Practitioner display, with the pictures, names, and telephone numbers of all Practitioners who are currently in service is on the wall of our lobby.
